13 July 2013 — About 2 hours away from Zug in the Alsace region in north-eastern France is a small town called Colmar. Famed for the birthplace of Auguste Bartholdi – sculptor and designer of the Statue of Liberty – this quaint town paints houses right out of a French cartoon strip!
Colmar was peppered with tourists this beautiful Saturday summer afternoon.
We were very lucky with the weather today. Not only did we get in to the town early but were rewarded with beautiful light against the houses across Colmar Old Town. Definitely a trip worth making again!
